Artistic Director
Hannah Bentley is co founder and Artistic Artistic Director
of Pants on Fire and has produced all their work to date including
TOSSED! (William Shakespeare’s
THE TEMPEST) (People Show Studios, London), SPLICE
(Queille Festival, France, Oh! art Oxford House, London, Edinburgh
Fringe Festival and Arena Festival in Germany) and LABYRINTHINE
as part of Enterprise 06 at The Space, London.
Hannah trained with Peter Bramley in physical theatre on the first
Adventures In Space course in 2000 and since then has collaborated
with him as a deviser and performer on several projects including
CRACKERS! (A not-ballet), NARCISSI and the short film it inspired,
NARCISSUS THE TALE OF RANCOR in London and at both the New York and
Philadelphia Fringe Festivals and most recently in LABYRINTHINE.
Hannah graduated from Goldsmiths where she studied Drama and Theatre
Arts and since leaving has worked at the Royal Court Theatre as Production
Assistant and currently works at the Barbican as a Theatre Administrator
as part of the BITE team.
Artistic Director
Peter was in the last group of final year students to ever have trained
in Paris with Jacques Lecoq himself, graduating shortly after Lecoq’s
death in 1999. Before that he studied Drama at the University of London,
during which time he did some training with Angela de Castro and gained
sponsorship from the college to travel to Poland and train with the
Gardzienice company. He has also had further intensive physical training
with Teatr Piesn Kozla (Song of the Goat).
Between 2001 and 2003 Peter lived in New York working with Blue Inc.
Theatre, and touring productions extensively throughout North America
and Canada.He has worked frequently as a visiting Lecturer at Royal
Holloway University of London, Brunel University, Central School of
Speech and Drama, Goldsmiths College and Greenwich University. He
has taught workshops at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Theatre
Royal Windsor and Churchill Theatre Bromley. Abroad he has given workshops
through Soulpepper Theatre Company and for Equity showcase in Toronto,
and at Yale University in the USA.
Peter took up the post of Head of Movement at Rose Bruford College
in February 2006.
