Pants on Fire theatre will be returning to Edinburgh Fringe festival in 2018 with their award winning show ‘Ovid’s Metamorphoses’.
Breathtaking mythological tales of love and transformation are set against a backdrop of WWII Britain in this Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award and WhatsOnStage.com Editor’s Prize-winning show. A spectacular extravaganza of live music, close harmony, puppetry, film and gramophone records exploring the inextricable link between nature and mankind. The show will run from 1st-27th August everyday at 12:10pm at Pleasance Theatre, King Dome.

Rehearsals in London: 25th June – 27th July
Preview performances in London: 23rd – 27th July
Travel to Edinburgh: 28th/29th July
Technical rehearsal in Edinburgh: 30th July – 1st August
Performances at Pleasance King Dome: 1st – 27th August
Travel back to London: 28th July
Profit share agreement for all members of cast and crew. Travel to/from Edinburgh and accommodation in Edinburgh provided for all cast and crew. Cast will be required to flyer and promote show throughout run in Edinburgh and will need to be available for FULL rehearsal and performance schedule.
Male Performer 1
Playing age 20-30, actor musician role. Highly skilled musician required. Piano essential, multiple instruments desirable (double bass, trombone). Must be a strong singer and previous MD experience. Multiple roles so ensemble and physical theatre experience desirable.
Male Performer 2
Playing age 20-30, actor musician role. Highly skilled musician required. Piano, double bass and 1 x string instrument (violin, guitar, banjo, ukulele) essential. Must be a strong singer. Puppetry experience desirable but not essential. Multiple roles so ensemble and physical theatre experience desirable.
Male Performer 3
Playing age 20-35. Must be able to sing and hold harmonies well. Puppetry experience and percussion experience desirable. Multiple roles so ensemble and physical theatre experience also desirable.
Female Performer - CASTING CLOSED
Playing age 20-30. Highly skilled singer, several singing solos throughout the show. Puppetry experience desirable but not essential. Multiple roles so ensemble and physical theatre experience desirable.
